This is the first scientific paper I wrote with fellow students. It surveys the state-of-the-art of procedural techniques for creating game content. Our professor, Alexandru Iosup, provided us with the opportunity to publish it to a journal after polishing it for months. The paper reached 100 citations in November 2015, and over 800 citations as of 2025!
