Linear Crossing is a VR game (also playable without VR) about moving around using TRANSFORMS: neat little pickups that rotate, translate or scale your vehicle. Goal of the game is to AMASS WEALTH in the form of coins, by travelling through a randomly generated frogger-style world. Wireless gamepad recommended, but also works with the mouse. Requires the Oculus 0.8 Runtime for VR. Made using Unity 5.3.0.
This game is probably my best jam game to date. It’s been made for both Ludum Dare 34 (theme “Growing” or “Two Button Controls”, latter of which I didn’t really go for) and the TU Delft game jam (theme “Linear Algebra”). I merged a few ideas, went and pretty much worked around the clock for three days to produce this result. Really proud of it!
Update: as of 26 January 2016, also available on Oculus Share!
Update 2: after the final showcase, Linear Crossing was chosen as the winner of the TU Delft Game Jam! Along with achieving 6th place in the Innovation category over at Ludum Dare, I’m very happy with the results.
